I enjoyed my time in Hamburg and your company and was very impressed by your fantastic work for children and reading. It was good to meet your colleagues and others in the Hamburg community of book lovers; I was impressed and delighted to meet so many fellow enthusiasts. You seem to have achieved so much and done so with a real spirit of cooperation across the various agencies and volunteers involved in children’s reading. Too often we find competition instead of cooperation between groups who share a common aim. Long may Buchstart in Hamburg flourish and continue to give the pleasure of stories to children.
